Introduction An Interactive Shopping Experience for a Luxury Eyewear Brand

Shopping for eyewear online is difficult for both brands and consumers. As a consumer, it can be a challenge to accurately gauge the product based on a single image and description. This can be particularly frustrating when making a significant investment, such as spending $750 on a pair of sunglasses. Additionally, brands who prioritize unique design and high-quality materials may struggle to effectively convey these features through a two-dimensional space.

To showcase the eyewear, we used a robotic camera to orbit each product on a genderless bust, giving users interactive perspectives of the product in motion. This approach generated unique content per product, which we also used for social media, email marketing, and abandoned cart. After launching Matsuda.com, the brand experienced strong consumer response and exceeded first year online sales targets by 70%. This project has been the foundation for all B2C advertising efforts since its launch.
