Cori Close, The head coach of UCLA Women’s Basketball, approached me with a new idea. She wanted to create a branded identity for Women’s college basketball, a league shadowed by its men’s counterpart. We embarked on a 4 year project with their sponsor Adidas, to visually portray the UCLA team as a strong, empowered and confident group of women, while highlighting each player’s unique personality through portraiture.
The images were used as billboards, stadium banners, and to digitally promote the school and team. The following images are of a select few that I felt represented the breadth and scope of the project.
